Product Description
The ISIS AFP Designer is a workstation based design tool for Advanced Function Presentation applications which can run under Windows. ISIS is the premier solution for designing and editing complete printing applications for IBM's Overlay Generation Language (OGL) and Page Printer Formatting Aid (PPFA) data placement functions and creates readable and accurate source code.
AFP Designer is oriented exclusively for AFP. It directly uses objects like fonts and images. This allows for greater accuracy, less user effort, and reduced disk space because no conversion to an internal format is required.
AFP Designer is the only solution to incorporate the forms (OGL) and data placement (PPFA) functions of AFP into one integrated product.
The AFP Designer supports editing of existing OGL and PPFA based AFP print applications, as well as creation of new source code. The PC generation of AFPDS object code is available as an option.

Forms Design Functions (OGL)

- Shade boxes and circles in percentages.
- Create diagonals and rounded corners.
- Position with mouse or use explicit values in CPI/LPI, inches, millimeters, or pels.
- Full DRAWPATH and DRAWCIRCLE support.
- Place text freely or in boxes with center/left/right or top/center/bottom or balance/justify options.
- Select AFP fonts from multiple font libraries by style, size, properties, and code page.
- Display true font bit map and positioning.
- Word wrapping.
- Spell checking.
- Import text from Word or other RTF formatted editors.
- Load, rotate, and place TIFF or PSeg images.
Data Placement Functions (PPFA)
- Dynamic switching between the form and the data on one screen.
- Load and edit existing PPFA source code.
- Display true data font and print line positions.
- Create and edit all print line parameters.
- Position lines and fields with the mouse.
- Define conditional processing.
- Switch between multiple page formats.
- View print data from sample print file on PC.
